Junior Fair Horse Complex Improvements
The summer of 2009 saw much appreciated additions to the Junior Fair
Horse Complex on the Brown County Fairgrounds. Our new covered
viewing area was completed and celebrated with a ribbon cutting. This
new area offers visitors and family members a place to get out of the
sun and or rain while watching events in the 4H horse arena. The
viewing area which includes a concrete pad and plenty of room for
grandstands will be named the Brown County Horseman's Pavillion. The
pavillion was built with a grant and matching funds from the BCHA.
Also completed in 2009 was the new manure pit. The new pit is
adjacent to the barn and wash racks and gives the junior fair horse
dept. exhibitors a more efficient way to manage their week long stay on
the fairgrounds during September. The new manure pit was
constructed with funds from the BCHA and donations from Brown
County Rental, Sardinia Ready Mix, Craig Clark, David Howser, Greg
Kinder and Mark Kinder.
